What are DRIPS?

This site covers stocks that offer direct investment plans (also known as dividend reinvestment plans or DRIPs)--about 1,300 companies in all. You can use this site to open an account in virtually every DRIP plan available—and, once enrolled, you can invest directly without a broker. You will find capsule reviews and performance analysis for many companies that offer direct investing, as well as risk-reducing strategies that become possible when you invest directly without fees. You will also find comprehensive information about the company plans, which are gleaned from the DRIP prospectuses.
