Founded in 1882, ExxonMobil engages in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas and the manufacture of petroleum products, as well as the transportation and sale of crude oil, natural gas, and petrochemicals, which includes olefins, aromatics, polyethylene, polypropylene plastics, and other specialty products. It also has interests in electric power generation facilities. As of December 31, 2013, it operated over 37,000 wells and had operations in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. With annual revenues of over $400 billion, the company is expected to earn about $3.68 per share this year and $5.32 in 2016, compared with $7.36 in 2014. The dividend, which has been increased for 32 consecutive years, provides a 3.29% yield, and is relatively safe, as it represents only about 35% of earnings.
