Meet the editor's of The Moneypaper

Vita Nelson, Editor & Publisher

Vita Nelson is the founding publisher and editor of The Moneypaper, a financial newsletter based in Rye, NY. One of the earliest proponents of dividend reinvestment plans (also known as direct investment plans or DRIPs), she is regularly quoted in national publications and is frequently heard and seen on radio and television. Ms. Nelson previously had founded, and was the editor and publisher of, Westchester Magazine, which she sold in 1980. Prior to that, she made a market in municipal bonds at several brokerage houses in New York City. Ms. Nelson is co-manager of the MP 63 Fund (DRIPX), which invests in companies that offer its shareholders a Direct Investing plan. She helped found and is affiliated with Temper of the Times Investor Services, Inc., which is the only registered broker/deal organized for the exclusive purpose of opening DRIP accounts for its customers. Vita Nelson is also the publisher of The Moneypapers Guide to Dividend Reinvestment Plans, Direct Investing, and co author, with Donald J. Korn, of Create and Manage Your Own Mutual Fund.

David Fish, Executive Editor

Mr. Fish is the Executive Editor of The Moneypaper Inc.--publisher of The Moneypaper, Direct Investing, and The Moneypapers Guide to Dividend Reinvestment Plans. He is the co-manager of the MP 63Fund (DRIPX), which invests exclusively in companies that offer Direct Investing as an option to their shareholders. Mr. Fish joined The Moneypaper Inc. 1996. Prior to that, he had been a Senior Accountant with Thom McAnn Shoe Company since 1974. Mr. Fish graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Worcester State College, Worcester, MA (1974).

Michael Burke, Contributing Editor

Michael Burke, editor of Investors Intelligence and Chartcraft Publications in New Rochelle, N.Y., has been associated with The Moneypaper as columnist and contributing editor since 1985. A graduate of the City College of New York, where he majored in finance, Mr. Burke has also been in front of the classroom as the teacher of a stock-market course at New York's New School for 12 years. He is the author of "The Three Box Reversal of Point and Figure Construction and Formats," and developer of several widely used systems for technical analysis; Point and Figure Relative Strength Analysis for stocks; Point and Figure Charts for mutual funds; the Broad Industry Group Bullish & concept; and the Broad Bullish %'s for different areas of mutual fund investing.

Michael Burke is acknowledged as a leading contrarian and stock picker, and has been the subject of a number of feature articles in Forbes magazine. He has conducted numerous seminars on investing.
